Connecting your Shopify or Shopify Plus store to ShipTop allows you to automatically sync orders, inventory, and tracking information between your store and the Client Portal.
This integration ensures seamless fulfillment and real-time visibility across your operations.
What This Integration Does
Once connected:
Orders are automatically imported into ShipTop
Inventory levels are synced across systems
Tracking information is sent back to Shopify
Orders are updated in real-time as they are fulfilled
Before You Start
Before connecting your store:
Ensure you have admin access to your Shopify account
Confirm your Client Portal account is set up and ready for onboarding
Make sure products in Shopify have valid SKUs
How to Connect Your Shopify Store
Step 1: Navigate to Stores
Log in to your Client Portal
Go to My Account β Stores
Step 2: Connect Your Store
Click Add a new store
Select Shopify
Click Connect on the pop-up window.
Step 3: Authorize the Connection
You will be redirected to Shopify
Log in to your Shopify account (if not already logged in)
Ensure you are integrating with the correct Shopify store
Click Install App / Authorize to grant access
Keep default settings selected
Step 4: Confirm Sync Settings
After connecting, ShipTop will begin syncing:
Orders
Products
Inventory
You may review or configure additional settings depending on your setup.
How It Works
New Shopify orders are automatically imported into your Client Portal
Inventory updates are reflected in Shopify
Once orders are fulfilled:
Tracking numbers are pushed back to Shopify
Orders are marked as fulfilled
Important Notes
SKUs must match between Shopify and ShipTop for proper syncing
Orders may take a few minutes to appear after connection
Changes to products or SKUs should be managed carefully to avoid sync issues
Only one fulfillment integration should manage orders to prevent conflicts
Troubleshooting
If orders or products are not syncing:
Verify SKUs are correctly set in Shopify
Confirm the integration is active in the Client Portal
Check for any errors in integration settings
